Bred Pureblood Heifer: MAR Miss Kitaguni PB28283 – Sold
Kitty was a yearling heifer at the Marchi 31st Annual Production Sale. There were 28 PB heifers for sale born within 17 days of each other in Spring of 2016. A year later they were weighed and they ranged from 509 lbs to 738 lbs. The top heifer, Hoku, is for sale above and the next 3 heifers were 676, 675, and 674 lbs. Kitty, lot 27, was 674 lbs showing her good growth. Kitty came into heat on 12/26/2017 and was AI’d with Bar R 10S, a pureblood heterzygous polled bull. Lab biopryn testing shows her pregnant and due Oct 3rd,2018. Kitty is a dehorned pureblood and will have a calf with a 50% chance of being polled.
52Y’s homozygous polled bull son sold in Australia recently for $65,000. (see link below). Haku is a dehorned pureblood and so odds are 50% for a polled calf with excellent growth. Calf is due May 9th, 2018. Haku is $5,000.
